Reporting copyright infringement
Tourly makes videos from photos that listing agents upload. If you believe a video, a photo or a hosted video link on our service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@truetourly.com with "DMCA notice" in the subject. Email is the fastest route; postal mail is also accepted at the address below.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorised to act for the copyright owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The web address (URL) of the material you say infringes, such as a /share/ or /v/ link, with enough detail for us to find it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
A notice that leaves these out may not be acted on. Knowingly sending a false notice can make you liable for damages.

What we do
When we receive a valid notice we remove the material or disable access to it, and we tell the person who uploaded it, including a copy of the notice. If you only want a video of yourself or your home taken down for another reason, use the takedown request.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same email address. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where we can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We pass your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright, and we may do so after a single clear case. Hosted video links of a closed account stop working.
Listing photos
Real estate photos are often owned by the photographer, not the agent. Our Terms require that you upload only photos you own or are licensed to use for this video, and that your use follows your listing agreement and local MLS rules.
